Brewing Common Ground brings neighbors together over good drinks and honest conversation — no agenda, no debate. Just real talk.
Brewing Common Ground is a Worcester-based nonprofit dedicated to building authentic connection across the divides of daily life — neighborhood, background, perspective, and experience.
We create low-pressure, high-quality gatherings where small groups of strangers can sit down, share a drink, and talk about things that actually matter — guided by thoughtful prompts and a spirit of genuine curiosity.
No keynotes. No panels. No networking small talk. Just people, conversation, and the belief that being heard changes things.
"The smallest unit of change is a conversation between two people who didn't know each other before."— The spirit behind BCG
We believe good conversation doesn't need much structure — just a little warmth to get it started.
A small group of 6–10 people — neighbors and strangers both — come together in a comfortable, informal setting over drinks.
A light facilitator introduces a handful of conversation prompts. No wrong answers, no debate prep needed — just honesty and curiosity.
The prompts fade into the background. What's left is real conversation — and the kind of connection that only happens face to face.
This proof-of-concept gathering is where Brewing Common Ground comes to life for the first time. A small group. A comfortable space. A few thoughtful prompts designed to open the door to real talk.
We're keeping this first event small and intentional — a chance to test the format, meet some community members, and see what happens when you simply give people permission to be honest.
